Andrew Harman

Andrew has qualifications in science and law. He has a great deal of experience defending actions involving toxic torts, workers’ compensation claims and personal injury litigation, particularly in matters involving environmental exposures.

Andrew is also a toxicologist by training with an Honours degree in science and a PhD in pharmacology from the University of Adelaide, postdoctoral training at the University of Iowa and 10 years in academia in the Department of Pharmacology, University of Western Australia. He is on the Management Committee of the Australasian College of Toxicology and Risk Assessment. He was admitted as a lawyer in Western Australia in 1995.

Marie Wood

Marie was admitted to practice in 1994 and has extensive experience in defending claims involving workplace injuries, including asbestos and chemical exposures and associated insurance issues. Marie has also been involved in helping people resolve issues and disputes related to elder law and deceased estates. Marie has a keen eye for detail, but always keeps in mind the big picture, while maintaining focus on a practical outcome.

Prior to joining Harman Legal in 2006, Marie has had experience as a lawyer in large commercial law practices and as the Compliance Manager, In-house Counsel & General Manager for a discretionary mutual fund. Prior to practising law, Marie worked for the State Government Insurance Office where she gained valuable experience dealing with industrial disease, common law and fatal accident claims.

Liana Marché

Liana Marché

Liana was admitted to practice in Western Australia in 1994. Her practice areas include Personal Injuries, Contract Law, Corporations Law, Wills and Probate, Property Law and Family Law.

Her litigation experience spans proceedings in the State Administrative Tribunal, WorkCover, the Coroner’s Court, District Court and Supreme Court, as well as the Magistrates Court, Court of Petty Sessions, Children’s Court, Builder’s Registration Board, Industrial Relations Tribunal, Residential Tenancies Tribunal, and Commercial Tribunal. She has also appeared at hearings for Bankruptcy proceedings in the Federal Court and in contested children and property proceedings in both the Family Court of Western Australia and the Family Court of Australia. Liana also has a BA majoring in Industrial Relations from the University of Western Australia.
